I have had hypnotherapy with Cathy and it has honestly changed my life. I have been overweight and tried so many diets and nothing ever worked. Overweight and over it. This is the first time that I have actually steadily lost weight and it doesn’t feel like an effort because my subconscious mind is working as it should be. Julie has never cooked a home meal -she was phobic about cooking and went to MacDonald’s every day. she did shift work and had sleeping problems as well not being able to get up on time. Julie was more interested in developing good habits around food like how to eat 3 meals only a day, what to eat and to stop eating the crap. then I relapsed and started snacking again on sugary treats and put on 10 kilos. I came to I came to see Cathy for hypnosis and after 1 session I stopped snacking amazing I did have 2 sessions in the end but as I said I stopped after one session. How does it work?

Hypnosis is all about setting the desired target weight loss goal whist in a hypnotic trance or if you like whilst you are deeply relaxed. Because you are so deeply relaxed your subconscious mind readily accepts my helpful suggestions so you can achieve your desired target weight. Think of it this way- hypnosis turns off the little voice in the head which is sabotaging you in your efforts to lose weight and changes the limiting beliefs you have about your ability to lose weight. Using suggestions and other techniques whilst you are under hypnosis we seek to replace the negative self – belief with total belief in your ability to lose the weight and best of all we change your relationship with food whether it be because you are an emotional eater or for any other reason to a healthy one.

There is no deprivation there is no calorie counting, there is only walking every day and listening to weight  2 cd’s alternately for 30 days to reprogram and bed down your subconscious mind and conscious mind so that the whole process of losing weight and achieving a weight loss of 1 -2 kgs is easy for you.

Yes you do have to follow the program, walk, drink lots of water and listen to the cd’s for 30 days and you do have to continue the program after you finish with me until you achive your goal weight. Hypnosis Over 30 Times as Effective for Weight Loss Investigated the effects of hypnosis in weight loss for 60 females, at least 20% overweight. Treatment included group hypnosis with metaphors for ego-strengthening, decision making and motivation, ideomotor exploration in individual hypnosis, and group hypnosis with maintenance suggestions. Hypnosis was more effective than a control group: an average of 17 lbs lost by the hypnosis group vs. an average of 0.5 lbs lost by the control group, on follow-up. Cochrane, Gordon; Friesen, J. (1986). Hypnotherapy in weight loss treatment. Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 54, 489-492. Two Years Later: Hypnosis Subjects Continued To Lose Significant Weight 109 people completed a behavioral treatment for weight management either with or without the addition of hypnosis. At the end of the 9-week program, both interventions resulted in significant weight reduction. At 8-month and 2-year follow-ups, the hypnosis subjects were found to have continued to lose significant weight, while those in the behavioral-treatment-only group showed little further change.

Hypnosis Subjects Lost More Weight Than 90% of Others and Kept it Off Researchers analysed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioural therapy such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring, or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis. Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of those not receiving hypnosis and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended.
