Hypnosis helping to manage alcohol abuse.

Hypnosis helping to manage alcohol abuse has long been recognised as a fact. It is a therapy that produces positive results in many patients.
When in a state of hypnosis, the patient is relaxed, their blood pressure and heart rate drop and brain waves change. While the conscious part of the mind fades back, the subconscious is fully awake and aware. This focusing of the subconscious mind means that the patient can believe suggestions such as alcohol is bad and can change his or her behaviours toward it when brought back out of the relaxed trance.

By the way, this recent BBC documentary based on a study by the Van Tulleken brothers (both Doctors and identical twins) on binge drinking versus moderate drinking is really eye opening. Have a read and see what you think. The results might change the way you want to drink in future.
